Imagine having a provider you can see more often than every 4 to 6 weeks during your pregnancy and well before 6 weeks
postpartum—someone that listens to your needs and helps you learn how best to support your changing or healing body!
We understand that women deserve so much more than the current standard of care. Most of our pregnant clients express feeling like the medical system does not adequately help prepare for childbirth or establish proper expectations for postpartum. Our postpartum clients express feeling unsure of how to tackle resuming normal activity after being "cleared for everything" by their obstetric provider at their 6-week follow up. Some clients feel ready to return to high intensity exercise but don't know how to do so safely and some feel nowhere near back to "normal." Our goal is to fill these gaps!

We provide virtual wellness-focused pelvic health and lactation services to help women better cope with the changes they are experiencing and prepare for the unpredictability of birth. We believe all women deserve access to a safe space where they can shamelessly vent, learn and ask all of the questions they need to as they navigate this time in their lives. Whether feeling scared, anxious, overwhelmed, excited, worried, happy or all of the above--we strive for our clients to feel validated at each encounter. That’s why our approach is to provide the education, guidance and feedback that fits best with your unique journey.

Meet your guru
I’m Stephanie, the founder of Maternity Guru! Maternity Guru was born (pun intended) out of my passion for empowering women to feel confident throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey.
My fascination with all things pregnancy began in my early teens. I became an aunt at 13 and I was fully drawn in by my sister’s whole experience. I remember attending a lactation class with her, sitting silently in complete awe of what women are capable of! Fast forward several years, I graduated from Boston University in 2015 with my MS in Occupational Therapy. At that time, working in women’s health was not a typical path for an OT, so I explored other areas and developed my skills in pediatrics, NICU and adult neurology. Although I felt well rounded as a clinician, none of these felt like my genuine calling until I FINALLY discovered pelvic health.
Thanks to supportive supervisors and an incredible mentor, I fully immersed myself in learning how to treat pelvic floor dysfunction and started the very first outpatient pelvic health program at my hospital in South Florida. I have had the privilege of helping individuals address issues like urinary and fecal incontinence, urinary urgency, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, pain with sex, pelvic girdle pain and diastasis recti. But nothing has inspired my desire to learn and serve more than my experiences working with women during and after their pregnancies. Whether prenatal or postpartum, planning for a vaginal delivery or Cesarean, having their first or third baby--supporting my clients to feel their best and achieve their unique goals is what drives my passion for this field!
I am fully committed to providing a holistic approach to maternal health care. My goal is for each of my clients to feel seen, understood, empowered and confident. I received my pelvic health education through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. I am also a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Certified Lactation Counselor, certified Body Ready Method® pro, Manual Lymph Drainage Certified and certified reformer pilates instructor. Learning never stops and I am dedicated to providing my clients with personalized and up-to-date guidance at each encounter. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, family and friends, traveling, cooking, practicing pilates and doing almost anything out in the sunshine! I look forward to working with you on your journey!
