WELCOME

What sets us apart...

While most pelvic health providers include services for pregnant and postpartum women, this is our exclusive focus. All of our services are designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of the pregnant and postpartum woman. We are constantly seeking continuing education specific to the pregnant/postpartum body and experience in order to provide the most comprehensive and highest quality perinatal care.

Our background in occupational therapy means we holistically address your health and wellness needs. We take a whole-person perspective when addressing your concerns. In other words, we address the physical, emotional, psychological and social factors that influence your health. We believe this is key for long-term change.

All therapy and wellness services are provided one-on-one by a pelvic floor specialist. This means you get our undivided attention and our sessions are ALWAYS personalized to your needs.

We provide you with resources every step of the way. Whether that’s a customized exercise plan, curated guides for labor, or referrals to other birth and health professionals when necessary to support you on your journey.

Every individual is unique and therefore we do not take a cookie cutter approach to health. We meet you where you're at and identify the primary contributors to your symptoms to achieve lasting resolution.

Meet your guru

I’m Stephanie, the founder of Maternity Guru! Maternity Guru was born (pun intended) out of my passion for empowering women to feel confident throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey.

My fascination with all things pregnancy began in my early teens. I became an aunt at 13 and I was fully drawn in by my sister’s whole experience. I remember attending a lactation class with her, sitting silently in complete awe of what women are capable of! Fast forward several years, I graduated from Boston University in 2015 with my MS in Occupational Therapy. Because women's health was an uncommon path at the time, I developed my skills in pediatrics, NICU and adult neurology over the years, always yearning for "something" not fully understanding what that might be. Pelvic health landed on my radar in 2020 and as you might have already guessed, it proved to be the "something" I had been yearning for.

After intensive education and mentorship, I started the very first outpatient pelvic health program at my hospital in South Florida. I have had the privilege of helping individuals across the age and gender spectrum achieve resolution to issues like urinary leakage and pain with sex. But nothing has inspired my desire to learn and serve more than my experiences working with women during and after their pregnancies. Whether prenatal or postpartum, planning for a vaginal delivery or Cesarean, having their first or third baby, supporting my clients to feel their best and achieve their unique goals is what drives my passion for this field!

I am fully committed to providing a holistic approach to maternal care. My goal is for each of my clients to feel seen, understood, empowered and confident. I received my pelvic health education through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. I am also a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Certified Lactation Counselor, certified Body Ready Method® pro, Manual Lymph Drainage Certified, GentleBirth childbirth educator, and certified reformer pilates instructor. Learning never stops and I am dedicated to providing my clients with personalized and up-to-date guidance at each encounter. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, family and friends, traveling, cooking, practicing pilates and doing almost anything out in the sunshine! I look forward to working with you on your journey!
